Timeouts

While creating interaction and/or signatures, one thing to be aware of are the timeouts associated with each part of the process.

The following table shows this information for each type of workflow.

The timeout of the signature/interaction is the timeout of the fUrl. Before that timeout, that URL can be used to access the signing environment, as long as the signature/interaction is still in the SUBSCRIBED state.

On the other hand, the timeout of the signing environment, indicates the timout of the spawned environment where the signature takes place.

Each time a signer lands on the fUrl, Web Trust will spawn a dedicated signing environment (there wasn’t one or it was expired). These spawned environments have a radically lower timeout due to security reasons.

When the signing environment expires while a user is signing, the system should respawn a new one, and automatically redirect the signer to it.
